Product Manager

This is an opportunity to lead and execute the growth and retention strategy of an existing LP business. This is a full-time position out of our Delray Beach office. Remote work may be available for the right candidate.

This is not “just” a product development role, this is an entrepreneurial position that requires a combined passion for marketing and helping a digital business scale. You will be in a hands-on, high-visibility leadership role, proactively positioning the product and inspiring the extended team to work towards the success of a big-picture vision.

You must have at least 3 year hands-on experience in mobile/digital product development for a consumer-facing site, with experience in direct response/lead generation. You have a deep understanding of both paid and earned acquisition strategies, user engagement tactics, and performance marketing for an lead-based product. You want to be part of something big and have the skill set and drive to make it happen.

You’ll be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing product and marketing campaigns for scalable user retention and acquisition to grow an existing company within Launch Potato’s portfolio. You’ll optimize and create new monetization channels using lead generation, display/programmatic, mobile, email, and push and you’ll work with the engineering, design, and media buying teams to increase conversions and increase user LTV.

You’ll execute on tactical elements of a hands-on product lead while also being able to easily shift to strategic planning. You’ll act as the primacy voice of the product and have P&L responsibility.

You’ll work closely with the extended team to understand revenue placements and user flows, and you’ll constantly push for performance improvement from both internal stakeholders and external partners.

You’ll proactively identify new opportunities and over-communicate your data-driven recommendations.

You’ll look at the business from a high-level, strategic point of view, and create/build upon advertiser/vendor relationships to expand the business as a whole. You’ll work closely with the executive team to build upon the vision for this product and ultimately build out a team to support financial and operational goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Identify key growth and retention triggers and implement product features/marketing campaigns/content to increase user LTV

• Drive and optimize key traffic (email, SEM, PPC, SEO, display) and revenue metrics including RPM, CPA, CTR, CPC, conversion rates

• Work closely with Media Buying team to understand performance metrics and opportunities to increase scale

• Schedule and set up engagement and monetization campaigns daily via site, email, mobile, social

• Be responsible for product P&L; work with exec and extended teams to forecast and set goals

• Set goals using previous performance metrics, competitive research and online trends and do everything you can to meet them

• Act as brand representative both internally and externally

• Build upon our existing in-house ad stack to increase revenue

• Perform analysis using back-end data, web analytics, and 3rd party conversion data

• Analyze data sets to quantitatively assess performance from acquisition and retention POV

• Perform QA to ensure data quality; perform end-to-end user testing yourself on multiple devices

• Work with extended teams to develop creative, unique ways of driving growth through product and funnel optimization

• Act as primary point of contact for external vendors; ensure high levels of partner value

• Execute innovative experiments (Google Optimize, Optimizely, A/B/MVT tests) to test demand across segments or new remarketing channels; contribute to comprehensive testing and reporting matrix

• Actively track and perform cohort analyses across all campaigns to identify most valuable customers

• Use our existing data visualization tools to quantitatively analyze user behavior hypotheses

• Develop a comprehensive campaign strategy that builds upon our existing high-value and highly sought after partnerships

• Resolve operational issues through quick thinking, problem solving and appropriate action

• Leverage BI tools and pure old Internet research along to identify prospective partners, be an expert in the online advertising landscape, and find who is “in the market”

• Develop a comprehensive community-building strategy and work with social, customer service to implement according to your high quality standards

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in product development and online marketing for a B2C site, with at least 2 year of experience in direct response/performance marketing

• Deep knowledge and experience with online acquisition and remarketing tactics/channels (display, remarketing, SEM, affiliate, social, programmatic media, etc)

• Analytical, results-driven, and rigorous, with a thorough understanding of key user acquisition metrics, LTVs and statistics

• Passionate about finding new ways to increase revenue/yield via site, email, and social and growing digital businesses

• Ability to aggressively collect, analyze and respond to data related to the performance of key marketing metrics

• Understanding of cookies and tracking protocols available to marketers (event and pixel-based tracking, server-side tracking)

• Deep knowledge and first hand experience working with analytic and MVT tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Optimizely, etc) and ability to vet and master new tools

• Excellent project management abilities

• Capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints, within budget parameters, and working with a distributed team

• Strong business acumen and ability to identify trends and marketing opportunities

• Experience in creative ideation and prototyping of user experiences

• General high technical aptitude

• Excellent Excel skills and ability to effectively present and communicate your analysis

• Extremely detail oriented

• Extremely resourceful and enjoys overcoming challenges

• Knowledge of ad networks and servers from publisher/advertiser basis (Adsense, Adwords, Bing, Media.net, Facebook,Yahoo)

• Header Bidding and Bidding Frameworks (prebid.js vs PubFood.js)

AVAILABILITY

Our normal team work hours are roughly 10am-5pm ET M-F. However, product uptime and monetization is a mission-critical part of our business and there will be times where you need to monitor performance earlier in the morning, later at night, and on weekends as needed.

Additionally, we are a distributed digital team and there may be late/early meetings due to different time zones. We always try to work with everyone's schedules but at times there may be meetings earlier in the morning and later at night.
