Marketing Specialist (Email)

This is an opportunity to optimize an existing, successful email program for a large B2C brand. This is a full time position out of our Delray Beach office.

Ideally you have 1+ years of experience in email marketing or online marketing, with a great understanding of marketing analytics, strong technical aptitude, and basic HTML skills.

Our entire team is very hands-on, including the founders. This role would also be hands-on.

THE ROLE - TL:DR

You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end operations of an existing email program: creating exciting marketing messages, deploying emails, and analyzing impact on revenue and performance to constantly improve KPIs.

As a member of the Marketing team, you’ll work closely with Promotions and Design to come up with creative, innovative new campaigns that engage members and keep them surprised and delighted every day when they open their inbox.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the end-to-end development of enticing email marketing campaigns that deliver against business goals for assigned product

• Leverage email marketing tools to develop transactional, promotional, and informational content strategies that maximize customer retention and acquisition

• Develop new highly creative email templates and testing strategies that deliver against ROI targets

• Execute QA and end-to-end testing for email templates; be a huge advocate for the consumer, testing proper rendering across all mobile devices, mail apps, and ISPs/domains for an amazing customer experience

• Drive and optimize key traffic and revenue metrics including revenue, CTR, open rates, incremental revenue lift, engagement and retention

• Develop a comprehensive testing and reporting matrix that accurately assesses delivery and performance of email campaigns and email to site conversion rates

• Maintain and ensure high levels of data hygiene and integrity with fast-growing, high-volume lists from variety of acquisition sources; proactively learn about sources to come up with innovative, highly targeted messaging

• Run reports and prepare analyses for marketing programs or proposals using our Email Marketing Platform and Excel

• Ensure compliance while balancing exciting marketing promotions

• Increase revenue by testing new advertisers and placements

• Work with growing cross-functional team of designers, engineers and customer relationship team to drive email product development and corresponding on-site UI/UX enhancements based on data analysis

• Identify new opportunities through regular analysis; proactively present recommendations to team and over-share test results

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing or online marketing with a deep understanding of marketing analytics and conversion optimization

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience

• Basic HTML skills and high technical aptitude; strong desire to increase skill set

• Ability to aggressively collect, analyze and respond to data related to the performance of our key marketing metrics

• Strong business acumen and enthusiasm about identifying trends and marketing opportunities

• Excellent Excel skills and ability to effectively present and communicate your analysis

• Passionate about marketing and understanding consumer psychology

• Extreme attention to detail

• Understand of pixel tracking and advertising campaigns

• Experience in creative ideation and prototyping of innovative user experiences

• Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A/B testing, KPI tracking and ROI analysis

• Self-starter with a collaborative, upbeat, solutions-oriented attitude

• Excellent analytical and writing skills that allow you to effectively communicate product performance and recommendations

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance multiple projects simultaneously in a startup atmosphere

AVAILABILITY

This role is out of our Delray Beach headquarters. Our normal team work hours are roughly 10am-5pm ET M-F. However, email is a critical aspect of our business and you’ll be expected to monitor performance every day including weekends. Also, we are a distributed digital team and there may be late/early meetings due to different time zones. We always try to work with everyone's schedules but at times there may be meetings earlier in the morning and later at night.

We communicate throughout the day using Slack and several times a week using Google Hangouts. You'll be expected to actively participate in these discussions and be an active, awesome contributing member of our team!
