Digital Marketing Analyst

This is an opportunity to spearhead marketing analytics for several successful digital brands while learning the ins/outs of a profitable startup. This is a full-time position out of our Delray Beach office.

WHO WE ARE

Launch Potato is a profitable startup studio that incubates and scales mobile and web companies on our proprietary technology stack.

We’re HQed in Delray Beach, FL, but have an amazing, distributed global team. We believe in building teams who can solve complex problems using smart marketing, great engineering, data science and fun!

Our entire team is very hands-on, including the founders. This role would also be hands-on.

THE ROLE – TL:DR

This is an amazing opportunity to optimize the comprehensive marketing strategies of existing, successful digital brands, while also working on exciting new initiatives.

You’ll drive marketing strategy by extrapolating how different user segments act and how we can better engage them.

Using our strong data architecture and reporting capabilities, your core goal will be translating that data into actionable tactics to acquire and remarket users at scale via PPC, social media, mobile, and email.

You must be extremely analytical, have a deep understanding of online consumer behavior, and have the ability to effectively communicate your findings in a way that grows the business.

This role requires someone who is inherently passionate about finding opportunities for improvement.

Workings closely with our Marketing and Acquisition teams, you’ll analyze large sets of data to quantitatively test user behavior hypotheses and proactively make recommendations on marketing tactics to optimize ROI.

You’re innately a “numbers person” and completely comfortable in Excel. You have advanced knowledge of forecasting, modeling, and more complex KPI analysis and don’t make assumptions without having evidence to back it.

You believe in meticulously checking the accuracy of data sources, aren’t afraid to question whether tracking is set up properly, and have no problem doing end-to-end user testing to make sure your analysis is using quality data.

At the same time, you understand how important a holistic consumer experience is to a digital business and you’ll become an expert at the end-to-end experiences of different user flows that drive website growth.

You’ll use your creativity to work with our Design team and come up with ideas that you “know” will work.

Most importantly, you’ll proactively identify new opportunities and over-communicate your data-driven recommendations. You’ll set goals with the exec team using previous performance metrics, competitive research and online trends with the goal of improving user acquisition and engagement.

You’ll take the initiative in getting new projects and campaigns tested based on your learnings, and continually track your efforts to determine results.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Ideally: 1 year of hands-on experience in online marketing. Minimum: strong proclivity for digital advertising

• Ability to aggressively collect, analyze and respond to data related to the performance of our key marketing metrics

• Strong business acumen and enthusiasm about identifying trends and marketing opportunities

• Excellent Excel skills and ability to effectively present and communicate your analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience

• Strong decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills

• Self-starter with a collaborative, upbeat, solutions-oriented attitude

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance multiple projects simultaneously in a startup atmosphere

• Desire to grow into a business leader while working well in a team environment

GREAT BUT NOT NECESSARY

• SQL

• Relevant hands-on experience in a digital marketing or operations role

• Experience with Analytics and Tracking Platforms (Google Analytics, Facebook, email platforms)

• Creative ideation and prototyping of innovative user experiences

• Photoshop

AVAILABILITY

This role is out of our Delray Beach headquarters. Our normal team work hours are roughly 10am-5pm ET M-F. However, we are a distributed digital team and there may be late/early meetings due to different time zones. We always try to work with everyone's schedules but at times there may be meetings earlier in the morning and later at night.

We communicate throughout the day using Slack and several times a week using Google Hangouts. You'll be expected to actively participate in these discussions and be an active, awesome contributing member of our team!
