Acquisition Marketing Manager (Facebook)

This is an opportunity to manage user acquisition and media buying for multiple LP digital businesses. This is a full-time position out of our Delray Beach office. Remote OK for the right candidate.  

You’ll focus on Facebook, Instagram, and Audience Network image and video ads -- developing a comprehensive marketing strategy to acquire new members and traffic. This is not “just” a media buyer role, this is an entrepreneurial position that requires a combined passion for understanding consumers and pushing the boundaries of your responsibilities to help grow the business as a whole.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience actively managing $150,000+/month Facebook spend in a performance-driven environment and is highly motivated to see his/her strategies succeed and scale.

To you, the digital marketplace is a healthy and intriguing challenge, and there is endless opportunity to scale.

You’ll be personally responsible for driving continued optimization of Facebook, Instagram, and Audience Network campaigns through performance analysis, ad copy/format testing, placement and audience management, and user LTV analysis. You may potentially work with other channels as opportunities arise.

You have holistic knowledge of the FB/IG/AN advertising space and are an expert in direct response. You have advanced experience using their respective ads tools to guide decision-making.


You’re deeply passionate about understanding the ins and outs of Audience Network, Power Editor, and Ads Manager, different ad placements/units, the psychology of our members, and attribution across multiple touch points. You love quickly testing new ad formats as they are released.

When a new campaign goes live, you are excited to closely monitor performance and glean initial insights. You proactively communicate performance to the team, whether good or bad.

You deeply understand audience development and how to intelligently remarket users to meet campaign goals.

You believe in meticulously checking the accuracy of your data and are slightly OCD about making sure tracking and attribution are set up properly.

You’ll analyze data to quantitatively assess performance and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the media mix.

You understand tracking technology. You know how and what you want to track and are comfortable working with the Facebook Pixel and custom events to make it happen.

You’ll work closely with Product leads to find which campaigns are driving the most positive ROI and what the member LTV from each campaign is.

You take the lead on ad and video creative, are comfortable mocking up layouts/images, and can project manage with the team to get new ideas tested. You are passionate about creative testing and landing page optimization and you have experience successfully working with designers to see your visions come to life.

You enjoy testing the user’s experience firsthand and think it’s important to understand what our ads look like “in the wild.”

You’re passionate about testing campaign objectives and using different objectives to achieve an overall result.

You understand the importance of scale and can work with our team of scrappy marketers to achieve growth.

• Own the end-to-end setup of advertising campaigns in Facebook and potentially other channels

• Create actionable reports using Facebook reporting and our backend analytics platform to optimize strategies

• Find new opportunities to increase scale, decrease cost and increase ROI

• Drive and optimize key traffic and revenue metrics including revenue, CPM, CPA, CTR, conversion rates

• Resolve operational issues through quick thinking, problem solving and appropriate action

• Work closely with Product and Design teams to create and execute new campaigns

• Improve conversion rates on landing pages

• Identify and evaluate opportunities to grow based on competitive research, testing, and an understanding of the marketplace and seasonality

• Streamline and automate processes where possible

• Efficiently leverage BI tools and pure old Internet research to understand the marketplace

• Act as primary Facebook ads point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders and push to make sure we’re getting what we need to grow

• Set goals using previous performance metrics, competitive research and online trends and do everything you can to meet them

• Work with customer service team to maintain relevance and improve user feedback on ads


• Minimum: At least 2+ years of hands-on experience being personally responsible for Facebook media buying ($150,000+/month in spend) in a performance-driven environment at scale; ideally 4+ years media buying in any channel

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience

• Trained and experienced with Facebook Audience Network, Power Editor, Ads Manager; deep knowledge of each of their functionality, campaign creation process, and reporting

• Ability to aggressively collect, analyze and respond to data related to the performance of our key marketing metrics

• Strong business acumen and enthusiasm about identifying trends and marketing opportunities

• Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, data manipulation, V lookups) and ability to effectively present and communicate your analysis

• Deep understanding of online advertising space and impact of current events, competition, consumer behavior on the marketplace

• Experience with Google Analytics

• Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around online advertising metrics

• Resourceful and enjoys overcoming challenges

• Excellent analytical and writing skills

• Extremely detail oriented

• Understanding of different conversion tracking platforms and methods

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance multiple tasks simultaneously in a startup atmosphere

• Experience in creative ideation and prototyping of user experiences

Our normal team work hours are roughly 10am-5pm ET M-F. However, user acquisition is a mission-critical part of our business and you'll be expected to ensure performance including earlier in the morning, later at night, and on weekends.

Additionally, we are a distributed digital team and there may be late/early meetings due to different time zones. We always try to work with everyone's schedules but at times there may be meetings earlier in the morning and later at night.

We communicate throughout the day using Slack and several times a week using Google Hangouts. You'll be expected to actively participate in these discussions and be an active, awesome contributing member of our team!
